Today’s blood moon and lunar eclipse is all about receiving information, change, and experiencing radical shifts in our lives. Eclipses are about releasing and purging what is holding us back from moving forward in our life.
More specially, this blood moon in Taurus is about adopting comfort, safety, security, and pleasure. It is about prioritizing what feels good. Pleasure is the top motivator for this eclipse.
In order to experience pleasure, you first must address what may be standing in your way. In order to fully embrace intimacy, connection, and pleasure, you need to release fear, scarcity, guilt, and shame. What is keeping you from feeling fulfilled in your life?
This brings me to vulnerability. People hate to feel vulnerable. They want to be able to control every aspect of their life and to known the outcome as well. I hate to be the barrier of bad news, but you can’t control anything outside of your own experience and you certainly cannot control the outcome.
In order to experience true pleasure, you need to be vulnerable!
It can be a hard lesson for many to learn, but it is one worth investing in. The rewards are innumerable.
Some people struggle to be fully connected with their partner. They’ve been hurt or rejected in the past. It’s easier to close down your heart and put up a wall. Yet, they wonder why the relationship doesn’t work. They don’t communicate well, intimacy is lack luster, and they don’t feel seen or heard. In order to experience true intimacy and connection, you need to open, show, and communicate all aspects of yourself to your partner. Is there a potential to get hurt? Hell, yes. There is never any guarantee. But to not do so, means you are half living and not your true authentic self, and your partner feels that at an energetic level.
Being vulnerable is not just in intimate relationships. Here are some examples: You need to be open and vulnerable with your friends, so they can do so in return and you can create a meaningful friendship. You need to go for your dreams and goals, so you can attain your purpose and passion in life. You need to quit your job and go back to school to do what you truly love.
Work through your traumas, wounds, and hurts. Release what needs to be released that keeps you stuck in lack, fear, guilt, and shame. Then and only then can you allow yourself to be truly vulnerable because you will no longer be a prisoner or slave to your emotions, limiting beliefs, and behaviors that show up to protect you when you are triggered.
Vulnerability needs to be adopted in every situation. With one exception, and that is when someone is treating you disrespectfully or abusively. They do not get your vulnerability. That’s when you affirm your boundaries.
Look for opportunities where you can become more vulnerable. Do you phone up the guy you’re interested in instead of waiting for him to call you? Do you quit your job and travel the world? Do you move to another city? Where are you holding yourself back and where can your vulnerability create a much more expanded, meaningful, and transformative experience.
I hope you truly give being vulnerable a try!
